Nobility & civil modernity

The nobility originates from the estate society. Today, however, a different social model dominates in Europe: civil modernity. Accordingly, I will first outline the social models of estate society and civil modernity as well as possible relationships between the nobility and civil modernity; then I will report on some historical and current findings on the German nobility and present perspective considerations.
